1 Week 'til Christmas!

1 week 'til Christmas! I'm so excited but I have a lot to catch up on. I finished Kenna's scarf, Uncle Joel and Aunt Sarah's present, Grandma J's present, and Mommy and Daddy's present. But I still need to make Grandma and Grandpa's presents, Uncle Clint, Aunt Ski, Megan and Tabitha's presents and buy light sabers for Tobin and Arden. The boys are going over to Justin's house today, so Mommy said that while they are gone we might be able to go Christmas shopping for them.

I've learned to play quite a few more Christmas songs on the piano. Here are the songs I've learned to play: Good King Wenceslas, Silent Night, Joy To The World, We 3 Kings, Jingle Bells, and I'm still working on O Come All Ye Faithful.

Some of the treats we've made are: Peanut Butter Balls (we finished those), Dipped Ginger Snap Cookies, Chex Mix, and Chocolot Fudge.

I'm excited for Christmas but if I don't finish those Christmas presents we are never going to get them mailed out in time! See you later!

Craft Fair

Mommy signed me up for a craft fair, and when she told me I was very excited, but unfortunately we had forgotten all about it, so we spent all morning and part of the afternoon in the craft room making projects to sell at the craft sale. We had snowman thank you notes so even the littlest kids could write thank yous, post-it note pads, kids note cards, fancy tags to go on presents, paper ornaments, embossed and rub-on decorated gold ornaments, and 24 simple note tags in a cute little treat box to sell. It was so much fun! We had a lot of customers and earned $33.75! I spent $26 to buy a one verse for the Meetto Bible Translation. I have $7.75 left and I know what I'm going to spend $5 on.

At the craft sale there was a booth called Crafts by Alissa. She had hand knit scarves for stuffed animals and people, some jewelry, and bags made out of recycled Capri Sun juice boxes. I bought the lunch box made of recycled juice boxes, but the sewing at the top of the bag was ripped, so Alissa' going to repair it and bring it to Home school skate day, because both of us are going to be there. I'm going to take the money and pay her there. I'm going to put the $2.75 in my money jar. Well, I'm running out of things to say, and I need to vacume the family room carpet, so bye.

Home again

Well we got home from grandma and grandpa's house what seems like weeks ago! I guess we just got back to our normal life. Here are some of the things I've been doing:tracing ten of my hands on green construction paper, cutting them out, gluing them in a Christmas tree shape on black construction paper, (have not started decorating it yet)! Finished one puzzle, am working on a mouse puzzle now, learning new piano songs every day, reading a lot, doing lots of crafts, finished the Oz show (boo hoo, I want to do it again)! And we now have a slide in the basement. Actually it's just a cardboard box. But when you get on the closed up end and push yourself down the top of the slide goes down turning into a slide and when you plop of at the bottom the top bounces back up turning into a box again. It's so cool! Well I think that's all I have to say. Write again soon!

Birthdays and Grandparents

Mommy's birthday came and went. I was so excited for it. Daddy got a spinny office chair with wheels for her. He asked me, and I said I would. What he asked me was if I would be willing to make a big blue bow to put on her present. Of course I said yes. Why would I say no to a craft?! Anyway...for Mommy's birthday present from me I gave her a water coloring of a turkey. It was all I could do not to tell her! Daddy made her a card. The card was a piece of paper folded in half with a leaf stamp on top and some writing on the inside. Daddy's not much of a card maker. I used a card that I had already made for her. It was a yellow piece of construction paper folded in half(like Daddy's)! On the front of the card it had a piece of paper with a turkey on it. I used Mommy's punches to make the turkey. On the inside it had lot's of word stamps. Mommy loved her presents and cards. Oh yes! I almost forgot to tell you. Mommy's birthday was on November 22.

We are going to go to Grandma and Grandpa Keist's house for Thanksgiving. Well...actually I'm writing this at my Grandparent's house! I'm having fun. I started a cat puzzle, built a dream house out of legos, and met uncle John and aunt Beth. The trip here was not fun. Well except for the fact that Mommy got us activity pads with a marker that revealed the invisible ink. I got headache's, tummyache's, but thankfully I did not get carsick. Usually I do. Well we're here and the car trip's over. That's all that matters. When we were in Ohio Mommy said Grandma had got a craft thing for me. That's all she would tell me. Well, I said I wanted to spend some time with Grandma, but Mommy asked me if I wanted to write on my blog and I said yes, so I had better go do something with her. I had fun writing on my blog. Next time!

The Battle Store

A few weeks ago for my schoolwork I had to write a story using my spelling words and this is the story I wrote:
"Get a free sample!" the baker yelled. Tobin walked by.
"Do you know where the battle store is?" he asked.
"Speak up kid.Ya don't have to mumble. Lemme give ya an example of how of how to talk.
"I said do you know where the battle store is?"yelled Tobin.
"Quiet down! These doughnuts are about to topple over! Just a second. Lemme adjust this cable here. There. Now son, you're much too young to go to that store. Don't go around telling fables. But I'll tell ya what you can do. Go settle in the jungle!"
"You're no help. I'll go find somebody else. So there."
"Wait kid. Ya forgot your bundle of doughnuts!"
"I don't want any!"
"Come back here son."
"Don't call me kid or son. Ah. The battle store. Thank you Mr. mean baker.The Lord bless you with no customers!"
"But I want customers!"
"Ha ha to you. I found the battle store!"

First Blog Post

I love crafts. I have already made a music stand to hold my songs. I made up a song called Lord You Are My Rock. I've many songs, and I chose some of my favorites and put parts of them together into one big song.

Anyway, back to crafts. I'm decorating ornaments. Mommy got them at some kind of store. 48 for 5 dollars. You can tell they are cheap. They are full of scratches, but when you put rub-ons on them they don't look so bad. Mommy also taught me how to emboss, so the ornaments are also filled with little red snowflakes. By the time you read this I will probably have finished decorating them! I also made little turkeys by tracing my hands on brown construction paper, and adding little details. I got a head start on Christmas presents. I made some things out of clay too, and Mommy helped me bake them. Also, I made little cereal box sandals. Two pairs, but unfortunately the second pair was too big for me. Oh well. I'll grow into them.

I'm doing well on my piano lessons. Mrs. Davenport asked Mommy if she'd been helping me with my songs. Mommy said no, and Mrs. Davenport said wow! some of the songs I've learned are: Son of My Soul, O Worship the King, Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee, Now Thank We All Our God, This Is My Father's World, and Angels We Have Heard on High. I also made up a song on the piano called My Family. The only song not listed that I have learned is Silent Night. I think that's my favorite.
